Gorgeous Sacramento Engagement Photography | Coloma

undefined

Lynzie and Tyler are one seriously adorable couple.  When they said they wanted their engagement photos in a natural environment I immediately thought of Coloma.  I don’t get up there often enough but the short drive is so worth it.  Lynzie used to babysit Tyler’s little sister and it was the family who set up their first date.  Tyler actually proposed on their first date!  My jaw dropped when I found this out but then learned it was because the arranged first date was so awkward, in order to make his family feel awkward he proposed to her in front of them.  I’m learning that Tyler has a bit of a joking personality.  And, he does.  He had Lynzie and I both giggling during the session.  The official proposal came sometime later but they still knew all along they were meant for each other.  Check out the height difference… A full foot when Lynzie’s in flats!  Nevertheless, this couple was so easy to work with.  All they have to do is be in front of the camera and bam!, perfect.  They have never taken professional pictures together and were concerned about being photogenic.  I think these pictures alleviate any concerns.  Can you say GORGEOUS?  I’m so looking forward to their lakeside-backyard wedding in October!

The most fun part of this shot was getting in and out of that little boat!

This is one of my favorite sets from the evening.  I don’t know what but I LOVE an all green background.  I’ve met other photographers that don’t.  It’s  one of those funny things that makes us all different.  I love the little burst of orange day lilies…

This was a test shot… the original was actually way overexposed because shooting into backlight like this takes a little bit of exposure adjustment.  I brought the exposure back but left a lot of the sunny glow.  I love this.

Another reason I rarely delete from my camera… this shot was WAAAAY overexposed but with a couple minutes of work I am in LOVE with it!!!
