This by far was my most fun headshot-slash-portrait session! Rachel totally rocks! She is a consultant out in the bay area and drove all the way up to see me in Roseville for her portrait photography. I photographed her niece Aly’s senior portraits when she saw them she knew she wanted to book me for her own photos. We have been trying to schedule something for literally 6 months. Usually it was the weather that interfered but finally we found a day that worked perfectly.
Rachel is super gorgeous. And super nice. And super fun to be around. Basically, she’s one super gal! I loved hanging out with her, goofing around, being silly and taking her from one spot to the next. My car (and trunk) were filled with clothes and shoes and it kinda felt like mobile studio. It was tons of fun.
Thanks, Rachel, for driving up this way and for spending the afternoon with me! Hugs!
We started with some basics – we need some standard headshots for her website. Then it was time to get more creative. A little editorial, a little casual and a lot of fun.
We spotted this footbridge and had to check it out. I love these images of her.
She would do anything for me. I had been wanting to try this pose out for some time. She totally could be in a magazine!
We found this great little run-down shed with a blossom-y tree and it made for some beautiful photos.
Next we went downtown – there’s these great colored walls that are awesome for photography. This one’s purple, but I like these images in black & white better, especially with that cute cap of hers. I had asked her to give me a “sexy” sort of look, which made her laugh, and I love this image better. So in the moment.
Just around the corner from the purple wall is a wall with a ginormous rose painted on it. Super cool.
This feels a bit “alice in wonderland” to me…
Rachel, you’re super gorgeous!!
Showing off her lovely Prada heels and a bit more editorial-styled posing…
