Sacramento Holiday Portrait Photography | Alicia & Aaron

Recently I had the pleasure of doing a little holiday portrait photography for one of my very best friends, Alicia, and her husband Aaron.  I’ve known Alicia 10+ years – we go waaaay back to Chico where we met working at Outback Steakhouse.  She’s been there for me through thick and thin, through major life changes and blissful moments.  I just love her to pieces.  Alicia and Aaron wanted this portrait session to be at their home and their backyard was the perfect place.  Also, we had to include some shots of their cherished rescues, Tucker and Lilly (you’ll see them later.)  Sitting them on their cute weather-proof wicker furniture, I had them start off with some smiles…

And then Aaron whispered something funny in Alicia’s ear…

Al, you are simply stunning!

And she’s loves her hubby…

Now here’s Tucker.  He’s a ham and doesn’t mind having his picture taken.  He’s a chihuahua stuck in an 80-lb body.  Literally.  He thinks he’s a lap dog, and to be honest, with that face, it’s hard to resist letting him cuddle with you… on your lap.

And this is Lilly.  She was a “street dog” – rescued from the “streets.”  She likes hip hop, bacon and cupcakes.  She dances to Jay Z and will eat a pound of cooked bacon or a dozen cupcakes if you take your eye away from her for one second.  Really, she’s done it.  I was there for the bacon fiasco.  It took her nearly a year to really warm up to people but now she is a total sweetheart and is Aaron’s “girl” (well, besides Alicia of course).

Oregon, Aaron’s alma mater, won that day – it was the final football game before the championships.  He said that if they won, a photo with him in is “O” hat was going on the Christmas cards.  Well, they haven’t chosen their photo yet (better get on it!) and I had to include this one just for fun.

Their fireplace is decked out with holiday stockings, one for each member of the family… including the furry ones

Just a little detail of their Christmas tree

We finished off our session in front of the fireplace.  Alicia and Aaron – I love you guys!
