The day my husband and I were moving in to our new home in Roseville we met Katie and Scotty. We’re pulling stuff out of the moving van and all of a sudden this adorable couple is helping us move in. Uh Yeah! They volunteered to help. I was amazed. I didn’t know there were still people like this in the world – willing to help complete strangers move a bunch of heavy things I’m sure isn’t on the top of everyone’s priority list. Well this couple is different. I found out that night Scotty is a Coast Guard Pilot and Katie worked here locally. They were engaged (yay!) and Katie had a mutual love for kittens (I had a 2 week old at the time). We were perfect neighbors. They live just a few houses down from us and although it’s been a busy summer for all, we’ve found some time to get together and have fun.
Their wedding was a perfect little get together of their nearest and dearest. They chose to wed on the Tahoe Gal and let me tell you it was such a sweet event. The most perfect day ended with the most perfect sunset as you will see. I was so honored to be chosen to photograph their wedding. I get emotionally attached to all of my couples, but knowing them on a deeper level than most I felt more connected. I usually shed a tear or two during ceremonies or first dances but this time was the moments immediately after their ceremony. Katie and Scotty, I wish you nothing but the best in love for the both of you – and many more nights of wine and catch-phrase at our house 😉
